Primary Grades are done!

The Kindergarten - Second Graders are done! Sigh, they are such great little artists. Fortunately I know I'll be seeing them around the school as I work with the older grades. We made some great art and had tons of fun!

Here are some images!!!

Getting things organized

Sheldon - Cat Assistant

Eagle print made with Scratch Foam and acrylic paint embellishment

I met with the Glacier Valley Elementary School staff yesterday to give them a preview of the mural project and let them know about the projects planned for their classes.

Each class will have a critter to focus on for their art piece. I will be spending 3 class sessions with each class in the K - 2nd grades. I will have 4 class sessions with the older grades. We will be busy!!!

The top picture of this blog is the current plan for the mural. Individual art pieces with be at the bottom (easier for the kids to see their work)and I will be painting the top parts. Each art piece will be incorporated into the mural with LOTS of acrylic medium and gel to make it as bulletproof and touchable as possible. And then lots of varnish too of course.

Getting Started!!!

I am excited to begin creating some individual art pieces from Glacier Valley Elementary School - students, teachers and staff!!! I am working on a mural for the entry area of the school. I am trying to add a slideshow of images that will evolve as I add them.
